1.How flexible are the days I can choose?

Generally, because we are small nurseries we are able to be quite flexible. We will always do our very best to accommodate you.


2. What provision do you make for food allergies?

We work very closely with our catering team to communicate allergy requirements. We also take all precautions to keep our nursery allergy free. The Dietary Requirement List for all children is prominently displayed and checked at every meal. We hope that there is never a need for medical care but be rest assured that should any reaction occur, all staff are trained in both first aid and the use of an epi-pen.


3. Who do I speak to if I have a question about my child’s progress?

Your Key Worker is always your first port of call. However, we do have an open-door policy, so please come and talk to us at any time. Our staff are familiar with all children in our nurseries. We also have SENCO's in each Nursery that can help with any additional concerns.


4. Will subsequent children automatically get a place at the nursery if I have a child already there?

We will always do our very best to keep siblings together. However, to be fair to all you must fill in an application form for each child. Siblings are however given a priority in our waiting list.


5. Sometimes my work meetings run over time – what is the process if I am running late?

We understand that these things can happen and try to accommodate for such instances. Contact the nursery as soon as possible if you will be late. There is a charge for being late, this fee is stipulated in the terms and conditions.


6. Who do I speak to if I have a question about my child’s progress?

Your Key Worker is always your first port of call. However, we do have an open door policy, so please come and talk to us at anytime. Our staff are familiar with all children in our nurseries.


7. My child attends part-time but it would be nice to have some ad-hoc hours is that possible?

Depending on staff availability, it may be possible to accommodate your child for additional ad-hoc hours. These additional hours are charged in line with our normal fee schedule. Please contact the office to discuss your needs.


8. What opportunities do I have to discuss my child’s progress with the staff?

We operate an ‘open-door’ policy which means you can discuss your child’s progress with their keyworker at anytime. In addition to this we have a parents evenings each year so that you can have the opportunity to view the children’s work and discuss their progress with their practitioner. We are a small nursery so staff work closely with all of our children if your Key Worker is not present you can always leave a message with another staff member or Management, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.


8. What process is used to introduce my child to the nursery when they first start?

Each child will have a settling in process. This differs by age. You and your child will gradually increase, over the course of a week, the time your child is at the nursery without you. This process will be worked out with your key worker on an individual basis.


9. Are children automatically moved up to the next room or do I need to reapply?

Children are automatically moved up to the next room when it is appropriate. We operate a free-flow environment so our younger children will often mix with our older children.
